Greeting from Women’s Manifest!
Adolescence is a transitional stage of physical and psychological development that generally occurs during the period from puberty to legal adulthood. Generally the period is teenage, but it’s physical, psychological or cultural expression may begin earlier and end later. WHO defines adolescence as the progression from appearance of secondary sex characteristics to reproductive maturity, development of adult mental process and adult identity, and transition from total socio-economic dependence to relative independence. The pace of changes may vary within adolescence and chronological age is not necessarily a reliable index of development towards maturity.
Women’s Manifesto is going to organise two days program to adolescent girls during summer vacation which includes different sessions, activities, assessment, and games.
Through this program we enable the adolescent girls to understanding the changes occur during this stage of development, and encourage them to promote positive changes. It will help them to articulate their issues and known their rights, counter shame and fear, build their self-esteem, and self- confidence, and develop ability to take on responsibility of self, health, relationship and society around them. This program will provide opportunity to think critically, analyse, and infer learning and also empower them on the whole.
